Fri Nov 6, 6:02 PM

OTTAWA (CBC) - A 61-year-old woman in the Outaouais region of west Quebec has died of a swine flu infection, health officials reported Friday.

The officials said the woman, who died Thursday, had underlying health conditions.

Her death is the third from H1N1 to be reported this week in Outaouais.

On Tuesday, a 67-year-old man with underlying health conditions succumbed to the strain of H1N1 influenza A virus that's responsible for the current swine flu pandemic. A 26-year-old woman with a chronic medical condition died earlier in the week at a health centre after contracting the virus.
