MONTREAL - Berlin Wall to Wall, an event being staged next month in Montreal and Quebec City, is described by organizers as "an excursion into the heart of Berlin's avant-garde art and culture."
Works to be showcased include films and videos dating from before, during and after the fall of the Berlin Wall 20 years ago, on Nov. 9, 1989.
Berlin artists Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke will speak at a conference at Universite du Quebec at Montreal that is also part of the event.
The pair will take part as well in performances of "The History of Electricity," which uses electronic music and images to depict electricity in an abstract way, and "The Ship of Fools," an audiovisual and musical show.
Berlin Wall to Wall will be at various venues in Montreal from Dec. 3 to 7 and Quebec City on Dec. 9.
