OTTAWA (AFP) - Canadian Foreign Minister Lawrence Cannon on Wednesday condemned a "brutal" and "heinous" car bombing at a crowded market in Pakistan's northwestern city of Peshawar.
"Canada condemns this latest brutal attack on the people of Pakistan," Cannon said in a statement. "That many of the victims of today's attack were innocent women and children is particularly heinous."
He added Canada would continue to support Pakistan's efforts to "bring peace and stability to the country" and "fight against violent extremist groups."
A huge car bomb killed at least 92 people and brought down buildings in Peshawar just hours after US Secretary Hillary Clinton arrived in the country.
